CAD ASSOCIATE
/ PROJECT ENGINEER
POSITION
DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Design Principal to prepare plan drawings from design
sketches; prepare utility rough-ins; create details, sections
and elevations; produce equipment cutsheet books; assist with
preparation and coordination of construction documents & specifications;
assist with clerical / administrative duties relative to client
projects; conduct interviews, site surveys and formulate facility
reports; communicate / liaise with architects, contractors, equipment
suppliers & manufacturers and non-commercial foodservice clients
as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively
as well as work autonomously, and occasionally under pressure
to support foodservice facility renovation and /or new construction
projects for a diverse commercial client base. Proficiency
in AutoCAD, a basic understanding of architectural principles
and the commercial construction process is critical. Restaurant
/ foodservice industry or foodservice / kitchen equipment experience
is also required.
Additional skills necessary
for success in this role are; sound judgment, good time-management
and an ability to communicate aspects of a project (written/oral)
necessary to maintain continuity and contribute to the successful
completion of construction and/or renovation of kitchen, serving,
dining and specialty retail facilities - primarily within the
education market.
The candidate selected to work with
us will report directly to the firm's President and can start
immediately. Site attendance throughout the U.S. will require
25 - 40% travel and a professional appearance.
Salary commensurate
with verifiable experience.
